Top Questions a customer may ask about Anji Mountain Traditional Bamboo Rugs: Q: I have seen bamboo in other stores. What is different about Anji Mountain Traditional Bamboo Rugs? A: Everything! Anji Mountain Bamboo Rugs are made from the strongest, most durable bamboo on earth. We use only 5 year old bamboo when others often use younger, weaker bamboo for their rugs. We feature a patented, ventilated, non-slip, rug pad backing which gives a comfortable cushion underfoot, keeps the rug in place and allows the rug to breathe. We feature unique styles of bamboo in many popular sizes and our variety is unbeatable. Finally, our rugs come packed in an attractive and versatile canvas bag with carrying handles and hanging loops for easy storage and transport. Q: Do you offer custom sizes/borders? A: We offer custom sizes when sufficient quantities are ordered. Minimum quantities for custom orders are between 200 and 300 pieces of a particular style in a particular size. We carefully select our stock sizes and borders taking into account style, function and appeal. We offer the widest selection of sizes and styles of bamboo in the marketplace that range from the most popular to the singularly unique. Our entire collection is stocked in the U.S.A. and can be purchased in container quantities from China as well. Q: Will this rug scratch or dent easily? A: These rugs have been aged, kiln dried and finished with premium polyurethane. This process is crucial in manufacturing the strongest, most durable bamboo rug in the marketplace. However, these rugs are not scratch-proof. Depending on the style and manner of use, these rugs will show some scratches due to unprotected furniture legs, animal claws, etc. Wood scratch remover can be used effectively to fill in scratches. Q: Can these rugs support heavy furniture? Dining table? Sofa? A: Yes, these rugs can support such furniture and should not break under typical weights, as long as the surface is not a high pile carpet. To avoid scratches, we suggest using felt, rubber or plastic casters with rounded edges on any table or chair legs. Q: Can you use a rolling chair on this rug? A: No. An office chair with casters on its legs should not be used on our rugs. We would recommend our patented Bamboo Office Chair Mats for this purpose. Q: My rug has an odor when first removed from its package. Will the smell go away? Is it toxic? A: Yes, the odor will dissipate over the course of several days depending on the ventilation in the room. The odor is present because it is packaged soon after the rug pad backing is attached. As it is unrolled and given a chance to air out the odor will dissipate. The odor is not toxic. Q: My rug is darker/lighter than what appears on your website/label. A: Because bamboo is a natural material, each rug is unique and color may vary slightly from one production to another. Likewise, colored rugs are dyed and will vary slightly from one production to another. Q: Will these rugs fade in the sun? A: Yes, just as a wooden deck or outdoor wood furniture will fade when exposed to the elements, our rugs will also fade in direct sunlight. These rugs are suggested for indoor use only and exposure to the sun should be limited. Top Questions a customer may ask about Anji Mountain Bamboo Office Chair Mats: Q: Where can I use one of the bamboo chair mats and does the thickness purchased matter? A: Yes, not every chair mat thickness should be used on all surfaces. The 5mm & 8mm thick Roll-Up version should only be used on flat surfaces or commercial carpeting, at the most. The Tri-Fold version can be used on any surface…even higher pile carpeting. Q: Does it matter the construction of the casters on the chair I will be using on the chair mat? A: Yes, metal and inexpensive plastic wheels may mare the bamboo. The Bamboo chairs mats are just like hardwood floors you would find in a home…you wouldn’t roll a chair around on it with metal casters. Anji Mountain recommends soft poly or rubber wheels to be used on the chair mats. Q: Is there any special cleaning instructions to follow on the Bamboo Chair Mats? A: A damp cloth will remove most anything from the mat. Using a polish liquid is not recommended because it may leave a film on the surface. Top Questions a customer may ask about Anji Mountain Bamboo Shag Area Rugs: Q: Is there any special cleaning instructions to follow regarding the Bamboo Shag rugs? A: Yes, there are a few different ways to go about cleaning the Bamboo Shag rugs from Anji Mountain. · The spinning beater bar on a vacuum should never be used when cleaning a bamboo shag because the pile could get caught on the bar and unravel the pile. · Only use hose attachments on a vacuum to clean the bamboo shag rug. · If the size permits, shaking the rug outdoors works effectively also. · Professional cleaning is recommended. · Stains should be blotted up with a clean cloth…but keep in mind that if red wine were to be spilled on an Ivory version, for example, you will see discoloration more than likely because of it. Q: Is the Bamboo Shag rug completely “bamboo”? A: No, the pile is a blend of 80% Bamboo and 20% Cotton. The pile is manufactured in this fashion because the cotton helps hold the pile threads together. But the feel is softer than chenille! |
